The AU Challenge from way back long time ago was won by
the_resurrector. She requested I write a fic. Involving Ben & Kevin babysitting little aliens. Well, I got them babysitting one little alien. It was a strange concept for me to grasp, so I just went for broke and cracked out the crack.
pan2dapan, I’m using that email idea you had. Yes, that one. Also from a really long time ago.
Title: klemail
Rating: PG
Words: 1,743
Characters: Kevin, Ben, little Stevie, Lu, Compé
Summary: Kevin checks his email. He responds via flashback.
Warnings: Fluffles, little alien kids, and girly screaming.
Disclaimer: Ben 10: Alien Force © Man of Action and Cartoon Network. Strongbad Emails & associated ideas and concepts © homestarrunner.com and creators. Cheesy Poofs from South Park.
Author’s Notes: I'm imitating an internet cartoon, but since I can't draw or animate, you get a text version. This is the kookiest writing style I've ever tried. It was fun!

Also, I believe our FST Challenge winners are
ad_exia,
saiika_von_maou, and
the_tonberry. You three each told me what your favorite song was. I'm about to start brainstorming on those prizes. Now is your chance to change that favorite song if it's changed or if you just want to try and throw me a curveball. But I'm still not telling you guys what I'm doing with them.

Title: If I Should Die Chapter 13
Fandom: FMA
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Author:
inugrlrayn
Rating: PG-13 (eventual R or NC-17)
Summary: I wrote this for a prompt over at the kinkmeme. The request was "Roy ends up maimed in some way, maybe from being captured/tortured; Ed is the one who finds/rescues/takes care of him" It was meant to be a oneshot, but it's run away with me. Thanks, per usual to
elfen and
cryogenia for read overs and edits and the like.
Disclaimer: I don't own Fullmetal Alchemist or any of its characters.

The rest of my fics are here.
It was a quiet thing, a choked sob he couldn’t quite muffle or restrain. Ed had to be feeling awkward he imagined, but his hand only slid soothingly up and down Roy’s spine.

Over the weekend I was helping my mom make dinner (which is rare), when my dad walked in with a basketful of limes from one of the trees in the backyard. After my mom informed him the food would be ready in a few minutes, I turned around from the stove and proudly stated, "The women have cooked!"
My dad then proceeded to stare at me for a moment before smirking and setting the basket on the table with the declaration of, "And the man has foraged!"
As we shared a laugh, my mom (who is not from this country XD) threw her hands up and complained, "What the heck? Are we cavemen now??"
---
On Saturday I was called in as an emergency babysitter for two kids I met all of once at a birthday party a few years ago. The boy seems to have restless wandering syndrome when tired and somehow fell asleep under the coffee table.
I left him there.
---
I was taking two little girls to the Springs Preserve here in Vegas and told them we were getting on the freeway so they needed to stay calm and not fight. The 5 year old asked what a freeway was and after explaining it to her, both children fell into silence as asked.
Several minutes later, the 5 year old spoke up. "Freeway? This should be called the speedway!" D8
---
A three year old I watch has a wart on her elbow. How or why it got there is a mystery, but it's there and she decided to show me this anomaly. After gawking at it for the appropriate amount of time (two seconds) I leaned back and asked her what she thought it was.
With a shrug, she told me it was probably a marble.
I laughed at her so hard, she changed her mind and said it wasn't a marble.
---
After a dry spell of not sitting on babies for nearly a month, I was finally called in, only for the mother to realize I wasn't really needed. She decided to have me stay anyways, saying the girls really missed me.
I looked over at the two little darlings and kindly responded, "You're not allowed to tell me that when they're huddled in a corner watching TV on a cell phone."
---
And those are my random stories for today :D

Title: "80 in 10"
Author:
imadra_blue
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: This is a mixture of gen, Hibari/Yamamoto (1880), and Squalo/Yamamoto (S80).
Summary: A series of ten brief stories, all inter-connected, on Yamamoto Takeshi's life, character, and relationships with various people, especially his father, Superbi Squalo, and Hibari Kyōya. Each story follows a particular theme: mother, rice, milk, town, shoulder, baseball, bicycle, camellia, train, and neighbor.
Notes: This started out as the Head Canon Meme, where you list ten facts about a certain character. Only it turned into a story format, so I figured I might as well make it a fic. Or rather, a series of flashfics strung together like a popcorn garland. They're in no particular chronological order. Thanks to
oberstein for providing the following five prompts: shoulder, camellia, bicycle, train, and neighbor. As with all my fics, concrit is welcome and appreciated.

I now fully and firmly concur that depleted uranium, DU munitions, and everything related therein is completely inhumane, and something no human being should ever have to see or experience.
I now wash my hands of the matter and will go watch Hetalia until my eyes bleed.

As I told
aggie_june , I LIVE!
And holy GODDESSES the drivers are more terrifying when I'm not enclosed by a wall of metal! The worst part was driving home in a sudden downpour. At night. With no head gear or rain protection. While wearing glasses.
....I figure my first ride was the worst it can get. Things can only get better - right?
According to the many taxi drivers who ferried me merrily to work and back for the past 3 months, it is 4.1km one way to work. That means I biked 8.2KM today. Which does not seem like a lot, but is. To me.
Funny thing is... even with all the rain and the blindness and the 'what the hell was that gloop I just pedaled through', I really enjoyed getting home in under 30 minutes without having to pay a fare at the end of it. :D
In other news, I did another demo today. Live, in front of parents and the school. School program sign ups and parents parting with cash only happened if I impressed them. 25 kids, G2, never met before, no other info - and I fucking NAILED it. There was a line forming by the time I left.
..and not an hour later, back at the office, I had an email from a returning teacher complaining we couldn't possibly expect him to substitute teach because he didn't know the kids and there would be no decent interaction and it's too hard and rally, call the WAAAAAAHmbulance 'cause I don't give a damn. I am living office proof that if you prepare enough and go in there with a solid game plan and just EXPECT those kids to do well, they will and YOU will.
Frankly we have too many teachers with self-esteem issues, and since I've never had any, I have very little sympathy to offer. >.<;;;;;

1. First, I need to show off my gleaming, beautiful thread at DRAWME! I HAVE SUCH TALENTED, AMAZING FRIENDS and I'm enamoured with my many representations, and generally biting my fingers and making incoherent happy noises. THANK YOU, YOU GUYS. Wah-! ♥
2. Anniversary of the Stockholm Bloodbath. I've still got that 7+ page Stockholm Bloodbath fic; am still semi-consistently pulling it up and tinkering sadly with it, but I might have to let it go and start from scratch. TBC!
Until then, have two little loosely-related pieces, possibly incoherent introspection circa 1520. This is old as all hecka. My Denmark is a little too articulate, a little too blame-worthy which is simplifying the Stockholm Bloodbath too much, but there is something to be said for Denmark's somewhat consistent might and influence over Scandinavia up until the present day (in other words, while this excerpt was written a while back and is OOC to me now, I have a bone to pick with Himaruya's characterization of Denmark ۞n۞)
( 2 tiny scenarios; light Norway/Sweden and slight Denmark/Sweden. )

I'm trying to write a bit of Terminator based fic and want John Connor to be practising opening up the head of a terminator to remove the chip. This involves cutting out a flap of scalp (pretty humanlike) and then opening a sealed compartment by using a screwdriver to prise it open (if you've seen T2 of T:SCC you'll know what I mean).
What could he practice on that's easily obtainable? Anything? I know students practice stitching on orange peels sometimes but a peel isn't really big enough to be an analogue of a whole head. Any ideas on what he could use to replicate the chip compartment?
Googling "Human head analogue" and "Human scalp skull analogue" doesn't help at all.
ETA : This is set before Judgment Day. Pigs are still kinda hard for a regular suburban teenager trying to live underneath the radar to come across though. ;)
